FINAL DAY!

I spent the last few days doing my animation. Yes it was last minute but still I managed to finish it. It almost 3.30am now and I feel I have met my goal. During the whole process I have encounter a lot of difficulties and I managed to get it right with the help of Alan and links from the website. I feel that I have accomplished my aims.

I had taken up a lot of time getting the modelling right and I think I am faster now with the modelling and rigging. I feel that I could do better by getting the rigging right. I would definitely do 3D for my FYP and believe that I could do so much better then now.

Well, I have to say this WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! ITS OVER!!! HOLIDAY HERE I COME!!!!!!!!!

For the past few days I was really busy with character design and P3 both at the same time. I had trouble rigging with the baby and the cat but it was resolved with Alan’s help. Actually Rachael made me realised that I took almost a month plus to finish my modelling and rigging when it actual fact I could finish it fast. I really regret for taking so much time on complaining and whining. But! I did manage to finish the first part of my animation. I am realllllllyyyyy happy with it. I was working on my laptop and it was rather working slow so I planned to go back to school on a WEEKEND to do my animation. I made a goal to myself to finish all my animation by today. And truthfully I think I can.

There will be error here and there but still I could do and I will. Well, below are some pictures from some scenes. Happy Looking!

Expressions

Hello people!

For the past few days I have been focusing on Character Design which is 3D modelling and it turned would so cute and funny. HAHA. I really love it. Anyway, I spent the day at home doing my project. I did the skeleton of the baby and orient each joint. Yes I know you don’t understand but its okay. I’ll just say it. Anyway, I had problems with the influence object so I just left it there for a second. Then I moved on with the cat expressions. I did blend shapes and I had problems with it. My main character kept moving. So I had to resolve the problem by editing the position of the other blend shapes and then it was better.

And so I had to re-render the second scene as the eyes changed. Well, hope I could rig my characters soon. So I could start to animate. Well, hope to finish this soon. I’m getting really restless. Tata!

Day 30

Well, today was dress up day. Dress in something which you have not wore before in school. It was really fun..haha. Anyway, there was another group presenting today and I’m really tired. I just wanna go home. As soon as I got home I felt really lazy to do any work yet I did. I edited my cat and my baby’s hair. Well, see you tomorrow.

Day 29

Today was the interim presentation. I stayed up till 3am yesterday to do the blend shapes and I managed to do the entire close up of the mouth which is the lip sync. I was really happy with myself. So this morning I added the subtitle and one more scene into my animatics.

During the presentation, Amanda said that I should maybe add some scenes like the cat and the baby score and that the baby is leading and so I told her that my main point here is to promote the product so she said that I should focus more on the product so by adding scenes like showing the close ups of the bottle and how the milk actually function to the brain and making the baby feel more smart.

And as for the ending I will be adding that baby will be letting the baby point the bottle upwards towards the camera. Well, that is what I could remember so far from the presentation. I’m going home and sleep. I deserve it.

Oh by the way, I need to make my cat look dumber and I need edit my baby’s hair. Hope its fine.

My Finished Models

I finally finished modelling my characters and coloured them. I told myself that I want to finish this colouring by 11am. And I DID IT! WOO!! I’m improving I’m so happy. Anyway, this would be my first time doing blend shapes and I have no idea how to do it so I tried. I borrowed a book and so I followed the steps. For some reason there was some error. So I deleted the head and re-edit again a facial expression. I even went to see tutorials in YouTube.

When it was successful, I was super happy. Even though its simple expressions it turned out great! I managed to do the close up scenes. Oh and the brain part. I need to edit the rendering and the lighting. I feel that it’s not enough.

I’m sorry if I was cranky yesterday, I just felt so stressed up and just felt like letting it all out. I apologize if there are some harmful things or such. Below are my finished models.

Day 28

I did the teeth and stuff today. I am done with the cat but just left with editing the baby’s body. I ask Amanda if I need to show my animatics and she said yes with the completed scenes. But then I don’t have any so she just asked me to just bring it along. She told me that I must start animating next week because others have started.

I am aware of that and I can’t be compared to the others as they are doing 2D animation. This is my first time doing a 2mins long animation alone and in 3d and I want it to come out right. I want to get my modelling right because I had problems with my first model in animation 1. Yes, I agree that it took me a very long time to model because I know that this time; it will be a better animation than my animation 1 project.

I believe that I can and will finish this animation on time. Including my sounds and combined scenes. I am slow because I am a beginner too. I am not Raj who have modelled a few and already got the edge flow right. Rigging is a pain. If I don’t do it right, everything will go haywire when animating starts. I must go slow and steady so when animating starts everything will flow smoothly.
